How to locate your TeamViewer ID

We install Teamviewer on all computer systems and most Android phones before they leave our warehouse.Teamviewer is the software that allows us to connect and assist with support and troubleshooting remotely, please Do Not uninstall this program as it requires many steps to retrieve it back and can be a difficult process to walk through over the phone.

On the computers it should be on your desktop as an icon and pinned in the start menu (meaning you see the icon to the right of the list of programs when hitting the Windows start menu.

On the phone:

scroll through your apps until you see the icon for Teamviewer. It will be blue and white. Once that is open and we try to connect, it will send a popup box to your device, please choose “allow”.

On the desktop:

Locate Teamviewer by choosing the icon on the desktop, locating it in the start menu by name or icon, or entering it into the search box on the start menu.

Once Teamviewer is opened you will see a side panel on the left side with many little icons and a blue person icon at the top. Below the person icon is a set of arrows pointing opposite directions.

This tab should open a screen that reads “Allow Remote Control” at the top followed by “Your ID”, which looks similar to a phone number, below that is “Password”, which is a random combination of letters and numbers. This password will regenerate for safety each time.

If there is a blank dash (-) in the space where your ID and Password should be, you may not have internet connection.

Another indicator for this is a small colored circle located at the bottom of the box. If you are connected it will be GREEN and read “Ready to connect (secure connection)”, if you are NOT connected to the internet the circle will be RED and have a rejection message stating as such.
